Is my Be quiet! PSUs defective?

Bearbricks

Hello everyone,

I bought a mini iTX workstation off one of my colleagues a while back and noticed that its inexplicably loud for some reason.

However, judging by quality of the parts that would make noise, they should not be that loud.

The parts that would make noise are:

Enermax - Liqmax 120S

Be quiet! - Straight power 10 600w

WD Black 4TB

PNY Quadro k2200

I have included a video to demonstrate the sound emitted from the system.

I have intentionally stopped the GPU and liquid cooler fan but this sound (as indicated in the video) still persist, so I believe it would be the PSU, but judging by video reviews online, it should make close to no noise.

So, does anyone have experience with be quiet PSU that is loud? Should I file for a RMA?

Thank you in advance to your replies.

No, they are not noisy, lol

Thanks for the reply, I know they should not, but the sound in my video is originated from the PSU area, I am wondering if its defective or otherwise

Maybe detective or dirty, in my experience they've always been fine.

Check the other components in your system one by one by process of elimination to find the source, my guess might be the GPU as it's one of those ones with a small bladed blower fans.

It can be anything, not neccessarily the PSU.

The noise in the video is electronics but it's not clear where it comes from.

You have to find out with your ear and maybe without case.

The noise can come from either Motherboard, Graphics card and PSU - in that order (well Graphics card is more likely han MoBo)
