Go to solution Solved by pentotark,

I own a 1070 and it performs really close to a 980ti. Also running your same resolution and I can play Wildlands at High present at 50 fps and Wolfenstein II at ultra at 60+ fps stable. I think you will be fine.

greetings LTT folks,

would like to have some feedbacks as per title of the thread, i'm considering getting the Alienware 34" AW3418DW, have tried to google for any recent benchmarks on said resolution but they were all pretty old, any 980ti owners are using similar resolution, would appreciate any inputs like how does the GPU holds up on recent titles? mainly, pubg or recent triple A titles, i'm aware i won't be able to play on very high settings, probably med-highish settings hopefull? thanks!

basic specs as per below,

Intel - Core i7-6700K (stock)

Asus - MAXIMUS VIII HERO

Galax GTX 980Ti HOF (stock)

Dominator Platinum 16GB DDR4-3000

But keep in mind your card has 8 GB VRAM compared to 6 on the 980 TI some games need really high amount of Video ram.
