Portable USB Type-C Monitors from Video Card Output

So I've had a SFF Build project going on for a while and I've hit a bit of a road block.  I want a portable monitor that I can take with the computer that is 1920x1080 IPS and good quality.  I want to be able to run it off of my video card however this requires a display cable to run to the monitor in question.  GeChic makes such a monitor but its pricey as hell.  ASUS and other companies make the right panels but they are type C.  My motherboard has a type C port, but I cant find a way to transfer the signal out through the PCI-E lanes to use DP over Type C.  However I did find this adapter.  Does anyone know weather or not it would be possible to use this to connect to this asus portable monitor?  To clarify: the dongle would go into the monitor and the type c cable to a power source (probably the computer's type c port) and the display port would be hooked up to the graphics card.

It takes in USB-C video and sends it out as DisplayPort, so it's only for connecting to DisplayPort displays, not the other way around.

There aren't any converters that will connect a DisplayPort output to a USB-C display that I'm aware of. Not all USB-C ports have video output capability, it's an optional feature, and the USB-C ports on motherboards usually don't have it, and if they do then it would run off integrated graphics rather than the graphics card.

What about some sort of driver that transfer display signal from the graphics card to the motherboard through pci-e?  would then it be possible to route the Graphics output to a motherboard Type C connector?
