Monitor went grayscale even after factory reset

I was just browsing the forums when my monitor decided to go grayscale. Everything is B&W except the little settings panel that the monitor uses. So I looked around and factory reset it, and still grayscale. I plugged in the port into both of my GPU ports, and still grayscale.... I tried plugging it into my motherboard but it still did not switch... Any idea whats happening?

 

 

hp cwa 22 is the monitor.

It could be the cable has a fault, or the port on the monitor. Is there a different input on the monitor you can try? If the OSD is still in colour, the panel itself is fine, so it's clearly a connectivity/processing issue.

Tried it out with a different cable.... When I booted up bios and windows logo was in color but im still in grayscale when in the OS.

If you're using Windows 10 try doing

Windows Key + CTRL + C

that will disable Greyscale in Windows

yeah it's not on your monitor's fault. either GPU port, settings or windows shenanigans
