Posted November 24, 2017 I am looking to take advantage of a black friday deal on a 32" 1080p monitor. The refresh rate is good and the response time is good. But is the pixel density too low for 32"? I will be sitting just a few feet away from it, I have one of those IKEA desks that's pretty shallow, but I won't have my chest right up against it or anything. What do you guys think, do you think I should just go for 27"? Posted November 24, 2017 I think the absolute limit is 27 inches. I have a 27 inch monitor next to my 15 inch laptop and its roughly 3 feet away from my face and i can still see jagged edges. If you mostly game and can deal with the complete lack of proper DPI scaling for programs and your operating system, then I'd look at 4K for monitors 27" and above. Otherwise I personally recommend 1080p for monitors up to 24", then 1440p for everything 27" and above. Right now I run a 27" 1440p display at home and enjoy having just a wee bit more resolution to be productive, without compromising my application interface experience.
