My new build is done

A Silver

The Story

I had my Spec 03 Case for probably over a year and I decided I wanted to tidy up my cables and get a new case.

My birthday came around two weeks ago and a week ago I ordered all the parts which included: 460x, 6 HD120 fans, lighting node pro, G1 Gaming 1080 to replace my zotac mini one, NZXT Kraken x52 and a fan and USB hub.

On the Friday afternoon I dismantled my PC and started installing the components to my new case. I greatly struggled with cable management and I was starting to go insane. I slept the stress off and completed the cable management on the morning.

I got the PC up and running but all the fans were running at max RPM and the idle temp was 100 degrees. After some investigation I found out the Kraken cooler was dead which made me lose a tad more insanity so I replaced it with an H100i V2 using Amazon same day delivery. When it arrived I installed it and got everything to work BUT the case fans were still at max RPM and the fan hub I had didn't work so I replaced it with two Y splitters which solved it!

The Completed build

Firstly here is a picture my Spec 03 (I am so sorry for the un godly cable management you are about to witness)

And now here is my new and improved build! (please ignore the cables behind it and yes I know the corsair logo is upside down on the cooler but it was easier to mount like that :P )  IMG_20171115_141102.thumb.jpg.41f9c244e25ad8da00a5088db9691df7.jpgIMG_20171115_141114.thumb.jpg.49bcbb2ff7f3f50b513ebbd4156bfc81.jpg

Agreed on the SLI bridge. Also I hope the carpet isnt it's home! Gotta put her up somewhere so she can show off her beauty, PC's like that dont deserve the dusty carpet floor life!

Ordered some MX 4 thermal paste and i'm going to rotate it. I noticed once I mounted it that I couldn't plug in the USB 2.0 cable as there is a heat sink (I presume) on the MoBo which blocks the port so once I rotate it, it will look better and I will be able to plug in the usb cable

Why waste your money on SLI when you could have just bought a 1080Ti for less?

Your build sucks, remember the rule. Never SLI unless it's the absolute top of the line card.

I already had 2 1080's before the 1080ti came out and in the situation I am in, it is not convenient to sell.  And since you said it sucks, you clearly have little knowledge as 99% of people would probably die for a PC of this power
