Huawei P10 stops internet while in call

Noticed it recently after I started using it to share internet to all of my rest devices - Starting a call leads to going from 4G to 3G to H and then to E, after witch it stops the internet completely (usually after 4-5 mins in the call). After that the phone needs 2-3 minutes to go again throu all networks till 4G.

 

Is there a way to disable that?

Unless there is support for VoLTE on the provider side as well as phone side, there is no way to disable phone from going 4G to 3(.5)G. 4G does not natively support voice calls, only via Voice-over-LTE. As for going beyond 3G/H to 2G - that is something your provider might be doing, though I am not sure here. 3G and 3.5G (aka HSPA aka the letter H) do support voice calls.

My provider (T-Mobile) does this, kicking me from LTE all the way to HSPA. VoLTE is supported by my phone, but my provider won't allow my phone to do so even if I have it enabled. Even worse, this bars use of the 700MHz band, even though my phone supports that too (VoLTE is a requirement to use 700MHz). As I'm kind of living at the edge of the boonies, I'm a little less than appreciative of my carrier, to put it mildly.

 

(Because while I can call 911 all day, god forbid a wheel falls of my car and I'm perfectly fine, I'm to be stranded instead. Thanks T-Mobile).

 

Try changing the mobile network settings to LTE/WCDMA (this is 3g/hspa, just roll with it). If this disables voice calling, then the issue might be signal strength with the 3g/hspa bands.

Maybe if you are calling your signal drops to 3g and 3G and voice service use the same radio maybe that's why it's dropping the connection

That’s normal when you’re not on VoLTE

 

My Note8 drops from LTE-A to HSPA+ during a call, and then goes back to LTE-A once it has ended

Without VoLTE, all phone is same will cut off your internet or slow down when call coming in.
