What shall I upgrade next?

MrRemnant

currently my pc is

i5 7400 cpu

zotac 1050ti

western digital HDD 1TB

2 ripjaw 5 4 gig sticks of ddr4 ram

a Evga 650 nova gold psu (overkill much)

a gigabyte motherboard (don't know the model but it only has one case fan port, one graphics card slot and two HDD/SSD connection thingies- getting very technical here)

i use the default case fan 120mm and the stock intel cooler.

Im gonna start by upgrading my ram to 16 gig

then gonna get an SSD,

but then what?

Depends, what's your reason for upgrading in the first place?

its pretty balanced right now, a gpu would probably make the most sense short term, latter (in a few years at least) the cpu will give you problems,

These aren't immediate upgrades but rather later on.

Will my heats get too high, only having PSU and one case fan?

It shouldn't. I don't have any case fans and nothing overheats.
