HDMI and DisplayPort are DIGITAL connections, they'll produce better image quality.


VGA is analogue and will have poorer image quality, and not that modern video cards no longer produce analogue signals so you can't use older monitors with these modern cards unless you use digital to analogue converters which cost some money.

With VGA, the cable between monitor and your graphics card also matters and affects the quality of the image. Digital connections are much less sensitive to the quality of cable, it will either work or it won't.

 

There's no difference in quality between HDMI or DVI or Displayport, all transfer the image exactly as the video card creates it, it's bit by bit exact, digital transfer, like copying movies or music or any file between computers.

HDMI or DP

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...
