Graphics card is touching cpu air cooler

So to get to the point, I modified my case so that I could vertically mount my graphics card (asus strix rx 480) and it touches my cpu air cooler (cryorig h7). I was reading online and it seems as this could create problems, but I have not gotten a decisive answer. I have used it like this for a few hours and nothing bad seemed to happen. So what I am asking is, would this create problems? and what can I do to fix it, without having to move my graphics card back to its normal position? Thanks in advance!

looks like it is resting a very small bit on it, but it shouldn't put any real pressure on it. also it's only touching on the shroud (gpu) with the parts of metal (cpu cooler) that are the most away from the heat, so i dont think it will cause any problems

That should be fine, because there are no traces on the edge of PCBs. Just don't transport it like that.

thats literally dumping hot air from your GPU right into your CPU cooler, like it will work, but thermals will probably be worse CPU side at least

Do you think that by putting a partition in between the two, would block the hot air from the graphics card contributing to cooler temps?

Usually the probs online with air cooler touching graphics cards concerns a metal fin on the cooler touching a solder on the graphics card causing an electrical short.

This does not seem to apply to your setup though, it's mostly plastic touching.

You seem to have enough fans for good air flow so wait with the partition until you notice actual high temps.

If you loosen the cooler, you might be able to shift it so it's not touching the card anymore.

then the hot air would just get recycled and heat your GPU up
