I'm not quite sure why it's like that, but it looks like IPS made a very deliberate decision for it to be like that. I'll consider changing it in the next update (January ish).

Not a big issue, once again this is more nitpicking, but would it be possible to add/reposition the Follow bar above the thread, like it's on desktop version as well? Currently it's only at the bottom of the page, below the thread. On desktop it's only above though.

Personally I prefer it above rather than below, and no, this is not an innuendo. 

The ability to google properly is a skill of its own.
