Dark rock 3 with ryzen 1600 @55c load normal?

JohannesStopczyk

Just wanted to check because with the stock cooler was @60c at 100% load and with no more noticable sound.

Is this a synthetic load, or you just watching temps while gaming?

55-60c isn't bad for load temps, I really wouldn't expect it to get much cooler without going way overkill on cooling.

Its with Aida 64, haven't really watched them while under gaming load

I played dead by daylight and got similar results

I never asked about when gaming, was just asking about when under 100% load

Most coolers perform very simarlarly when under 100% load. The biggest differences can only really be seen on higher tdp parts where lower end coolers fall away.

Gamnmg is a real world work load, so I would use those temps with 60 being worst case scenario.

Anything under 70°C for Ryzen at full load is just fine.

I'm using Dark Rock 3 with my R7 1700 ... at stock setting sit would go to 62°C when stress testing with aida 64 (cpu + fpu + cache).

When OCed to 3,8GHz on all cores, it gets up to 75°C under full load.

Like I said ... if it's below 70°C you are more than fine. If it goes higher ... could be a problem.

Ask someone else, what's highest safe temperature for Ryzen ... I have no idea if it's 90°C or lower.

Normal temps. You can only go so low with air. Like said, you would see bigger difference if you'd overclock.
