Posted September 21, 2017 A vendor makes a new card to compete with a possible competitor... Competition is good, but "buyer's remorse" is a poor excuse to flame Nvidia given that the mining craze (or more factually the supply and demand issues) has made the 1070 a poor choice when an extra $100 gets you the 1080 with nearly 40% more performance. I think it's not as good for mining, which is why the GTX 1070, which uses GDDR5, has been more popular for Eretheum mining than the GTX 1080, which uses GDDR5X. Somebody can correct me if I'm wrong. https://hardforum.com/threads/gtx-1070-and-1080-mining-eth.1941231/ 0:24 You own the software that you purchase - Understanding software licenses and EULAs "We’ll know our disinformation program is complete when everything the american public believes is false" - William Casey, CIA Director 1981-1987
 They probably won't either. What would be the point of releasing a card between the 1080 and 1070? Those 2 videocards are only 20% apart from each other as it is.
