Which sounds gross but it has other benefits, once the piss water underwent extensive purification and sterilization there are remnants of nitrogen waste like urea, it can be used as fertilizers for plants so it's not only solving water shortages but also to make crops grow more. 

 

At this moment, I'm not particularly grossed out by the reality that the water I'm currently drinking may have contained poop and urine first because that's why water treatment facilities exist. As long as it has been properly flocculated and underwent reverse osmosis and ozanated/UV irradiated, I'm good.

The worst things are plastic or cardboard things with stickers on them... a lot of recycling centers consider them too hard to recycle, because the stickers sometimes have to be separated manually.

 

Also, a lot of recycling places don't accept pizza boxes because the grease from pizza can negatively influence the way cardboard and paper is recycled... so often pizza boxes are simply separated and go to landfill.

 

Used syringes, babies stuff (babies underwear , whatever those are called, can't remember the word now) those are just trash

 

There are incinerators which burn waste and then filter gases and basically make money off burning waste but they're super expensive to build and then they need to have a constant flow of garbage otherwise they're losing money.

Rather than throw away something that still WORKS, in most cases I'd argue to just give it away for free on the like's of Kijiji or Craigslist.  If you list something for free, so long as someone picks it up, it'll be gone in a day and you can at least know that someone else is actually using it.
