My room is ******* cold!

Came home after 12 hours or having been in school, then out in town etc..

We had a maid come over during the day and clean the house and, to my surprise, as I approached my room it was pretty darn cold. Turns out the maid had forgotten to close my window meaning it's been wide open throughout the entire day!

 

Now for the fun, I booted up my PC and well...  the temperatures were pretty darn surprising. This is running a custom watercooling loop for the CPU and GPU.

The clock speeds are stock for both my i7 and 7970 GHz edition (except for core which is OC to 1150MHz).

 

For reference, my average idle temps are usually 35-40C for both.

I'd say this is roughly my average load temps.

Just for the time of taking the screens.

My i7 isn't a great overclocker and I believe it's degraded as well. The 7970 has a 100MHz increase in core clock, just need to get the time to see where I can get it.

Unfortunately it's too cold for actually being in the room xD

It's like 15C room temp if not less, I had to get my shoes and a slightly thicker shirt to be able to just walk into the room. And that's me who's been shirtless in -15C xD

 

First thing I did after checking the PC temps was to turn the heat radiator up all the way - after about 10 minutes it still pretty chilly in here!

Activated jet engine-mode (turned my fans from an inaudible 5V up to to 12V) and my temps went astonishinlgly low again :D

Room temp is at around 17-18C I believe. Outdoor temperature is reported to be around 3C

My thermometer isn't always too accurate though. Based on the fact that I had to grab shoes and a warm shirt, I'd call it more around 10C

On topic of the post, I actually got the OP's temps with a 4770k and a 780 a few moths ago. I had no fans running either.

well, more like 25-30 idle, 40-45 benching it.
