You know that it's just embedded, right? It's still Linus's original video on Youtube.

Yeah, yeah I know, but it is still on the website...

It would help to establish the context of why they used LTT's video:

Quote

4K resolution may give you more detail in a single frame, but HDR makes those details pop. Don’t believe us? Check out the comparison video below, which should give you an idea of the differences .

Which is also, as someone mentioned, embedded from the original channel and therefore LMG still gets their share of the pie.

By the way, a justification similar to that can be used on Wikipedia for using copyrighted works. I uploaded a few images of copyrighted works simply because there was no other way to illustrate a concept in an easier way, and using that justification, they were fine with it.

There is no "stealing". Every site visitor who watches the video will generate a view on the LTT video because they embedded  the original LTT video. No theft of any kind is happening here.

Molex to SATA, lose all your data

Yeah this is not a problem.  If anything, this is good because it means other people are spreading LTT videos, which gets them more viewership, which means a larger audience, more money, etc.

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

And what's wrong with that? If anything that's good for LTT as it generates more traffic for them...

Make sure to quote me or tag me when responding to me, or I might not know you replied! Examples:

And make sure you do it by hitting the quote button at the bottom left of my post, and not the one inside the editor!

Interested in computer architecture? Still in middle or high school? P.M. me!

I love computer hardware and feel free to ask me anything about that (or phones). I especially like SSDs. But please do not ask me anything about Networking, programming, command line stuff, or any relatively hard software stuff. I know next to nothing about that.

Which makes it good thing. Only fault for authors is that they don't credit it properly. Like having it in the text with "... illustrated with this video by LinusTechTips" or along with image credits at bottom.

LTT gains more viewers, maybe more subscribers. All good. Except these two having missed few lessons of good journalistic manners.
