I need help finding a laptop (I'm a begger and a chooser)

Ok so first off I realize I'm kinda looking for the perfect laptop that might not exist so now that we've gotten that out of the way here's my problem. I need a new laptop for school/ all around. I'm kinda dead set on getting a 2 in 1 because it's going to be my main source of media in both high school and probably collage (I'm a senior) but I also want it to perform well. I need it to be fairly good at some editing on sony vegas for YouTube and some fairly medium gaming (say dishonored as an example). I'd also like to stay under $900. Any suggestions? Anything helps! Thanks in advance!

You should be able to get some laptop with i5 HQ processor and GTX1050 or maybe even a Ti version for 900$. Also 8GB is RAM is a must. That should be more than enough for gaming and pretty decent for editing. If you are more towards editing then try to get i7 HQ processor with 1050 otherwise go with 1050Ti and i5 CPU.

That's pretty... impossible. Not really, there's probably something out there but you're really limiting your options by choosing a 2 in 1. You could just go with a gaming laptop and get way better specs and it would be great for gaming and editing. I know that you've probably already made a decision and I don't really have anything to say that will be useful to you but at least you will maybe re consider. Good luck.

Considering your a senior student, you would need excellent battery life and a laptop that will last you a long time. I think that the ASUS ZenBook flip would be a good choice, coming in at $869, your getting a 13.3" touch screen 2 in 1 laptop with a resolution of 1920x1080. It has a 7th gen intel core i5-7200U (2.5GHz base clock and 3.1GHz turbo), 256GB SSD, 8GB ddr3 ram, up to 12 hours of battery life and lots of IO such as USB 3.0 and USB type c connections. Bonus features: Backlit keyboard, fingerprint scanner and touch screen.

Dell is releasing a 17" Inspiron 7000 2-in-1 (flip) with a 8th gen processor and Nvidia MX150 GPU. As far as I know that's the only 2-in-1 with a GPU coming out.

Edit: apparently there are quite a few 2-in-1s coming out by Acer, ASUS, and HP but likely not until later this year.

What games do you expect to play aside from Dishonored? If you're okay with playing them at low graphic settings and resolution you can probably make due with a HD 620 integrated GPU, which will make your search a hell of a lot easier. Make a list and check out some gaming videos on YouTube with the HD 620 to get an idea if they'll run.

Or, the other option is getting something with a thunderbolt 3 USB-C port and then purchasing an external GPU, but that'll bring your total over $900.

I mean you're not wrong, the more and more I look into it the more I'm considering not a 2 in 1
