You can also read up on what it means to be 'pwned' and how it can affect you which is good to know.

Enjoy!

I bet it still adds your email to its own list of emails, like literally every other website does.

So if it gets hacked then that's just another possibility of it getting stolen.

They expose leaks, they do not do the leaking. They help other people out. This is a widely known website within the IT community... I'm pretty sure it has been questioned before, by professionals.

I'm still wondering how they determine if an email account is compromised or not. My Gmail is "a okay" while the Outlook one which I rarely use nowadays has been compromised once. I think it could be the time I was in public wifi without VPN or that Gmail's encryption is tighter. In fact, I see Gmail's spam filters better.

Although I kinda regret posting my email address in this website. Will they spam my emails? I changed my Outlook password twice already and added two-factor authentication even if I rarely use it.

They don't spam or anything like that, no need to worry.

With regards to how, it could be a legit website you sign up to which has had its database's breached and leaked.

Does it cover social media accounts too? Because I'm pretty sure Linus' Twitter handle has been compromised before and he even made a video about it.

As with all the other websites that store emails and credit card numbers, it's unlikely.

Doesn't mean it can't happen, as you can see from the millions of leaks every year.

The fewer websites with your info the safer you are.

i don't know why but outlook is the worst of all email accounts i have when it comes to spam and getting compromised.

the shit ton of spam mails i get on my outlook per DAY is about double the spam my other mail adresses combined get in a month.

also, in addition to recieving spam, my outlook adress has actually been abused to send spam. never happened with ANY other mail account i had
