dark rock 3 & trident z

hello people!

i am building a ryzen 5 pc, using the mobo x370 msi gaming pro carbon (idk if it matters) and already bought 16gb of trident z rgb, i wanted to buy an air cooler, and my budget is about 50-60$ i was gonna go for the dark rock 3 that i found for just under 55, but i am concearned with ram clearance... do you know if that would work? i will be using just 2 dimms so maybe the ram wont even touch the cooler but im not sure yet :/ i just need some advice, thanks.

What a coincidence, I basically have an set like that (X370 Gaming Pro Carbon, TridentZ RGB and Dark Rock 3) and I can tell you it fits just fine :)

You have just about 4mm of clearance left and all slots can be filled with memory. Just be sure to plug in the memory before installing the cooler and running the wire for the fan under the heatpipes.

It should fit just fine although a thinner cooler might give a better view of your ram.

You can also just move the fan to the other side of the heatsink if necessary.

Where are you shopping/located?

Because of the way the AM4 mounting kit works with the Be Quiet Dark 3, the cooler can only be mounted 'horizontally' (so with the logo reading normally or it being upside down), thus the fan will always overhang the RAM (although it only overhangs DIMM 2 a tiny bit)

I didn't have it in box, had to order it separately. Newer packages should have it included, but don't count on it.

It took 7 days to arrive for me (it came from Germany directly and I am from the Netherlands). Shipping is free and it fit through my mailbox.
