But YouTube Vloggers will love it... seems to me like a feature I’d never use, unless they give me 1TB of storage in my phone, and a 5TB drive to back stuff up to. Especially when I try and edit it and it has to decompress that footage.....

Mine has 401 ppi. I’ve got the plus, so it’s a 1080p screen. And my iPad is somewhere around 1440p (1st gen Pro), and 264 ppi. Not a pixel in sight. I’ve always thought Samsung’s massive resolutions looked nice, but 600-800 (I think it’s 800 on Sony’s 4K phone) ppi is overkill, unless you look at your phone with a microscope.

Can they just give me 500fps slo-mo, instead of 4K that I can’t practically use? Slower slo-mo is much cooler...

It was meant as a joke but honestly I can 100% see the difference between 720p and 1440p on my s8 plus, especially in games and videos. I know you're referencing some apparent study, but it really holds no significance unless you're trying to pick out an individual pixel on a static screen. Reminds me of the myth that the human eye can only see 60fps.

Didn't you try to compare a regular camera to a phone camera? One where the sensor is many times larger?

Impractical in what way? If you intend to use it extensively, you'd get the larger storage phone. You're also not shooting epic half hour long videos, it's usually short clips. Lastly, why are you bringing up phones that are 3 generations old? That has little to do with the experience on current flagship chipsets.

A couple hundred more would be completely unreasonable. The price right now is unreasonable also. The damn 1080ti is cheaper than a 7+ 32gb. 

The 256GB one is $1,300 though. So if it were $1,500 for the 256GB model of the 8, it wouldn't really be that surprising, would it? We don't even know everything about the device yet.

I don't know why you'd compare a video card to a phone. I could easily come back and say "but a brake caliper upgrade kit for an X5 M is $3,200."
