If they didn't ship in December, they might actually be worth getting. As is, might as well just get used HD650's for around the same price. Life's too short to be losing 6 months of good sound for the sake of a couple dollars.

I am willing to bet that at some point, the used market is going to be flooded with HD 6xx's. There are bound to be quite a few people who buy them that don't like them.

They are good headphones, but damn massdrop chill the F out, no need to drop them almost every month....

Before you buy amp and dac.  My thoughts on the M50x  Ultimate Ears Reference monitor review I might have a thing for audio...

My main Headphones and IEMs:  K612 pro, HD 25 and Ultimate Ears Reference Monitor, HD 580 with HD 600 grills

DAC and AMP: RME ADI 2 DAC

Speakers: Genelec 8040, System Audio SA205

Receiver: Denon AVR-1612

Desktop: R7 1700, GTX 1080  RX 580 8GB and other stuff

Laptop: ThinkPad P50: i7 6820HQ, M2000M. ThinkPad T420s: i7 2640M, NVS 4200M

Feel free to pm me if you have a question for me or quote me. If you want to hear what I have to say about something just tag me.

I think they are just super pumped up with all the hype around them without realizing that there is so much hype cuz it is a "rare" deal - it might lose some of its hype because they are looking to pump out so many right now. And yet it is still a fantastic deal and I am someone who has an aversion to used gear so it works for me :D

...aaaaaaand apparently there's another drop for 10000 (?!) units. At ~$200 USD. With some kinda $ deal on shipping. Might be $253 + duties + shipping. Tempting... perhaps in the Fall....

@Alaradia. Christ on a cracker! I thought I was the only one who used gorilla tape to cover the open mesh of my HD555 cans. It didn't muffle the sound to outsiders... booooo.

Man, this HD6XX craze is getting kinda outta hand! Just about every forum I go to has some mention of this drop, kinda irritating to me. Don't get me wrong, I think it's a pair of great sounding cans, but Jeez Louise, stop already.

I mean, its a pretty great deal. HD650's are already a great deal at $350, but $200 is crazy.

toss a nice thick foam lair or metal then a foam layer and that should be good. or do what linus does for sound and use jeans
