Is ethereum dead? Or going to?

Soo , 

I don't know if it was ad luck or something but i just yesterday started to search for ethereum/bitcoins etc. because i wanted to know them and how they work because i didn't know what they were and how they were bringing money, So i figured out that ethereum is the best(Period)* so far and i would like to start mining(sorry gamers). 
So i googled ethereum and wow. 
Ethereum is going assassin's creed style leap of faith down the hole. like i have the ethereum price website and in just 1 hour it lost more than 20 bucks ffs.

 

Do you think should i invest in it ? or will keep on the down trend ? 
Is it over before it even begins?

To add on all of this: I saw some youtuber talk about ethereum going to change their mining alogrytm, so GPU's would be not that interesting anymoar. (dunno how it works, I only heard him talk about GPU prices which were going to drop due to this) Investing in etherum mining hardware is something I would not do because of this. I would wait untill all the software/mining rules becomes stabilized. (several GPU creators aren't that happy with the abuse on their cards)

Whoa , if that happend we would have a LOT of people angry plus a LOT of RXs and much more for dirt cheap. Ebay would look like a freaking sea of gpus if that happens.
