Hello! xD

So recently I saw Austin's video about Bitcoin mining, and as I have a gaming laptop

I thought I could give it a shot.

But is it even worth it to try it on a GTX 960M?

How much would I get on average per day not including the power cost, or that depends on the internet speed or something? xD So I was about to set up my CoinBase account. And then I realised I need a bank account to actually make an account. :/ I don't have one what should I do?

If someone actually helps me out thanks ^_^

Bitcoin mining is not profitable with any computer hardware, laptop or not.

May I ask why?

Computer hardware does not have a hash rate high enough to offset the power it consumes.

Only ASIC mining is profitable, and good ASICs cost thousands of dollars and will take many years to pay off.

There are other currencies that you could mine, bitcoin is not the only one.

However I would not use a laptop for mining because it's very bad for them to be under max load for long periods of time.

Mining is not worth it altogether to be honest, see it as a hobby thingy that might get ya a couple of bucks in a year time by the cost of really stressing your hardware.

The more miners the harder it is to mine, any promising coin rising gets mined real soon by those with much superior systems making the calculations harder much faster, common folk with common computers are wasting time.

Bitcoin is not possible anymore even with an extremely powerful PC.

Ethereum or especially Expanse should be possible however. Me and my brother are currently mining Expanse on our RX 480 and GTX 1060M. GTX 960M will take longer to find a valid block but it should still be feasible.

Under how much load your GPU is while mining expanse?
