what type of games do you like to play?

some random suggestions: (not including newer installments of a game series as this is targeted towards 90's-00'ies games only)

  • Wing commander 3&4 (space sim with all star FMV (Malcolm McDowell, Mark (Jedi) Hamill, biff from back to the future (somehow even more awesomely douchy) etc)
  • Tex Murphy uakm, pandora directive and overseer (3d/fmv noir detective adventure game set in a futuristic San Francisco
  • Need for Speed Porsche 2000/Unleashed (imo the best nfs game)

Have you tried to perform a sudden temporary interrupt of the electricity flow to your computational device followed by a re-initialization procedure of the central processing unit and associated components?

Personal Rig Specs

Spoiler

CPU: Intel Core i7-7700K @ 4.8GHZ
Motherboard: Asus ROG STRIX Z270H GAMING
Graphics Card: Inno3D ICHILL GEFORCE GTX 1080 TI X3 ULTRA
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX Black DDR4 2x8GB @ 3GHZ
Storage: 2 x Samsung NVMe SSD 960 EVO 256GB in Raid | 2 x Seagate 4TB Expansion Desktop

(seagates are originally external drives removed from casing and installed internally)
PSU: Seasonic Prime Titanium 850W
Case: Mission SG GGX 3.5 (same as Rosewill Cullinan or Anidees AI Crystal with other stock fans)
Cooling: Kraken X62 for CPU, Corsair H55 with NZXT Kraken G12 for GPU

although the hd remake looks better on high res screens, Heroes of Might and Magic 3 is an awesome turn based strategy adventure game with awesome old school graphics. original version is available on gog

if you can track down a copy, No one lives forever 1 & 2 are awesome humoristic spy/shooter game where you play a kind of female James Bond character with gadgets etc.

also just scour gog.com for games, they are drm free and you can easily extract the installations and copy them to your retro computer to be run natively (instead of using dosbox etc)
i know many games are available on steam as well, but most need steam to run, and it's just easier working with drm free retro games anyway
