Girls kind of appreciate my personality, but on the other hand they find me a bit strange for my hobbies, tech, gaming, like when I start a debate about something with my mates they just look at us and don't understand a word.

Only had one girlfriend so far. I am 18 now. The relationship was semi-serious but fun to say the least. We both knew each other since middle school. For good or worse we had to part ways after graduating from high school as we both wen't to two different universities.

 

We're still friends though, and its nice to still talk/socialize on Facebook.

I've had girls ask me out, but I turn them down, I got hurt back in junior high and the pain is still with me today.

 

I'll get a girlfriend when I'm good and ready, I don't look bad so girls do get attracted to me, however I don't trust them. (developed quite a hate for girls in the respect of romance, however I have a few friend-zoned girl friends)

 

My expectations keep getting higher as well, I expect a girlfriend and boyfriend / husband and wife to be best of friends, not just share a house, car, bank account and have occasional passionless sex just to rid them of their lust and then later on stay together for the kids and divorce as soon as the youngest leaves the nest.

 

I will probably stay single for the rest of my life, but so be it. I'm not desperate enough to drop my standards.

I had a crush on a girl at my old work place. we were friends as one would be.

 

I really like her a lot but i just didnt know what to do, or what to say.

 

Eventually I asked her, out but she said she was busy with something, so i thought ok.

 

Later on, she started going out with a guy who worked at the same place, it seemed like everyone else knew about it in some way except me, and that hit me hard.

 

It felt like defeat for some reason, like i missed an opportunity

 

And its knocked my confidence somewhat

On a serious note, currently single. I have a tight group of female friends, but am too lazy to actually be bothered with a relationship.

Did have a GF for like one a half months last year though.
