Horizontal Mounted Reservoir?

Okay, so this is a long and painful story.

Its my first time watercooling, and I basically bought too big of a reservoir and pump that aren't even from the same company so I cant combine them.

I have been ripping my hair out trying to fit all my components into the case, and I would have gotten away with it if I had ordered a slightly smaller GPU.

However, because I am running a GTX 1080 Ti Poseidon, I realized I could not mount my reservoir in front of my 360 mm radiator no matter what I do.

After moving things around thoroughly, I came up with a solution of horizontally mounting my reservoir and attaching it to my 240 radiator at the top.

I have attached a diagram of how things look right now:
Red - Radiators

Light Blue - D5 Pump

Dark Blue - Reservoir

Yellow - CPU Waterblock

Purple - GPU

If I could actually pull this tubing off, would you guys recommend it?

Or should I just turn in the d5 and the reservoir for a smaller combo? (I lose 20% of the money I paid, so I would like to avoid this.)

Horizontal is safe, you just need to keep a higher water level so that the pump intake port in the middle is always covered.

I moved mine in preparation for hardline. Fill port faces the back where I remove a pci cover to fill it. I put the case on its face an a fill it and leave it there for a bit to bleed as the pump is still below the res.

Some reserviors are designed to be mounted horizontally.

Just flip the case so it's right side up while you fill and you're golden.
