Every frigging news thread I read is broken for night theme users. And always typing in "fix for night theme" gets annoying.

This has been proposed many times and it is unlikely to change given other proposed solutions.

just use autohotkey or something.

 

type a long paragraph, with explanations, etc. and look like a baller when you paste it in to a bad thread.

I don't think the solution to a small (but vocal) group of users not being able to read a fairly small proportion of the posts without highlighting it/using a fixer script (which there are at least two of) is to encourage people to spam a canned message about fixing it. Nor is the solution to keep complaining about it - we know this is an issue, and workarounds have been created.

If a post is unreadable, you can report it, and a staff member can fix the formatting. Don't go back through your post history and report all the posts, but if you come across broken posts in future, you can report them.
