Why are things being marked up so much?

I'm making a budget build and specifically with the CPU I want to get (the new Kaby Lake pentium G4560) I've noticed them going out of stock within a day and then sellers are marking them up to more then the G4600?! Why? It's a pain for someone like me who has a very limited budget and cant spend 30 extra dollars on a 60 dollar CPU. Is the Supply and demand actually that high? Why is this happening all the time?

Try finding used G4560. There's a chance that some people upgraded to 7700k from G4560 and are selling them.

its a very bad time to biuld a pc tbh you are better off holding out to later this year. ram and ssd are expensive, gpu's are expensive and new cpu's and motherboards are coming out all the time. you are best off getting a gtx700 series card with an older gen intel cpu and some ddr3 at the moment.

The G4560 is very popular because it cannibalizes the entire Core i3 line bar the upper-end ones which have more cache (and they cost twice as much). That said, most people won't care about that.

 

The demand is that high, yes. Just a way of life.

3-4 months. black friday/chrismas sales maybe the time when the prices get to normal again.
