Need Help Choosing a GPU

This will be my first build. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Bm73JV  I have spent time and looked into each of these parts and decided these will suit my PC gaming needs to start off with.I plan on upgrading my system after i get it. I am choosing to stick with the stock cooler because I am on a budget and have no plans to overclock. Noise also isnt a huge problem for me. I plan on getting the red variant of my case when it comes time to purchase all the parts but i prefer to focus on performance instead of looks.

My budget is $200 - $300 dollars for my GPU but I can be fairly flexible. I want to be able to hit at least 60 fps at 1080p on high-ultra settings. The GTX 1060 3GB has caught my eye I am having trouble deciding which card to get and would love assistance anyway possible. I would like to stay on the green side of the fence but if there is an AMD card that makes a compelling fist choice Id love to hear about it.

I have peripherals and dont need OS. I live in Utah, USA

I really recommend waiting until the mining craze is over, sadly GPU prices at the moment are massively inflated, you'd be lucky to find GPU's in this class at 150% of their value, let along RRP

Yours faithfully

dont go amd, too rare and expensive because of mining, 1060 is a great card, it is vr ready, if you want that

plus, plenty of manufacturers make red variants, or colors that would go well with the build, such as black

Also, PLEASE do yourself a favor and don't get that psu. w1 PSUs are pretty bad, go get a Seasonic S12ii or m12ii or corsair CXM grey sticker psu instead.

Buy whatever product is best for you, not what product is "best" for the market.

Interested in computer architecture? Still in middle or high school? P.M. me!

I love computer hardware and feel free to ask me anything about that (or phones). I especially like SSDs. But please do not ask me anything about Networking, programming, command line stuff, or any relatively hard software stuff. I know next to nothing about that.

Honestly, its not really a good time for GPU prices. Maybe get the cheapest one that will run your games "ok" and save up for a better one when prices come down. Or buy used, dont really recommend that tho.

Ryzen 7 5800X3D, Corsair H105, Gigabyte x570 Aorus Elite, Corsair Vengeance 32GB 3600MHz, EVGA RTX 3070Ti FTW3, Samsung 850 Pro / WD SN850 / OCZ Trion 150

I live in an area that is very sparse for fairly priced components. Ive seen 5 year old cards being sold for the original price, but never a 980ti. Thanks for the suggestion, Ill keep an eye out! :)
