I was wondering how many times you've replaced or added a component to your current rig.

I bought my PC prebuilt when I didn't know anything about the components or how to build one for myself. I've had my PC for about a year now and the only things that have remained the the same are my CPU, GPU and HDD. Here's my list of upgrades:

Mobo: ASUS P8Z77-V LX => Gigabyte Z77X-UD3H => ASUS Sabertooth Z77

PSU: No name 750w => Corsair CX750M => Corsair AX 860 => Custom Sleeved AX 860's cables

CPU Cooler: Stock => Corsair H100i

Case: Generic LED heavy case => NZXT Phantom 410 => Corsair 750D

SSD: None => 64GB Sandisk Pulse => +1 64GB Sandisk Pulse

RAM: 16GB Kingston Hyper X 1600 MHz => 16GB Corsair Dominator Platinum 1600MHz

Monitor: 42" Plasma TV (SHAME) => AOC E2795VH 27" => 3x Acer H236HLbmid 24"

Keyboard: Generic Microsoft => No name chiclet => Corsair K95

Mouse: Generic Microsoft => MadCatz M.M.O 7

Headset: Turtle Beach X11 => Turtle Beach X12 => Corsair Vengeance 2000

(SOON)

SSD: 250GB Samsung 840 EVO

GPU: 2x EVGA GTX 780Ti ACX

How many times and what have you upgraded in your rig?

Why you change the RAM D:

and also nothing for me so far... will be a different story after Christmas :)

PROFILEYEAH

What do people even put in these things?

SSD: Corsair Force GT [Really slow SSD -.-] -> + Samsung 830 256gb + 840 EVO 120gb [Linux]

Monitor: BenQ RL2450 -> + XL2420T -> + Asus PB278Q

Mouse: Steelseries Sensei MLG -> Logitech G400s [<3 it soooo much]

Only upgraded few things...

HDD: added a WD Blue 500GB 7200RPM SATA II drive as a secondary storage drive to go with WD Green 1TB 5400RPM SATA II drive what my PC originally had when I finished the build (I tore the blue drive from my previous PC).

Fans: added a generic 2€ 80mm fan as an exhaust fan to my PC case (kinda ghetto mounted; every screw is different sized).

Mouse: Logitech EX 100 keyboard + mouse -set ---> Attitude One Vintorez -gaming mouse (old mouse started to fail).

Yet to do:

GPU: ASUS GTX 550 Ti ---> Gigabyte GTX 590. Haven't gotten enough free time and I'm just too lazy to tear apart my PC and drill few holes to it just because of 2nd 8-pin connector interfering with the case.

Fans: need to add the Corsair AF120 Quiet edition fan as an intake fan. Installing it requires to take away all the drives to get the case's front panel off. Too lazy to do that.

Monitor: I should add my 23'' full HD TV (Acer MT230HM) as a 2nd monitor to go with current ViewSonic VP171s. The TV is just gathering dust and not getting used.

I need to get my lazy ass up and working on all of this...

Never trust my advice. Only take any and all advice from me with a grain of salt. Just a heads up.

Not really sure if they all are upgrades, but...

Replaced my front fans with LED fans (some people don't like them, but I do!)

Put an Arctic GPU cooler on my 6870, since the fan died, and XFX told me it'd be way cheaper and quicker if I did that.. ( A giant pain in the arse, but I still have my crap warranty!)

Got a Tesoro Shrike!

I got my Ducky Shine 3 (most beautiful thing I have ever owned)

Not many ehh? Still not very old yet, so not too surprised.. ( I want a 770!, and a new monitor )

My PC has had almost every thing upgraded since first built except the monitor and mouse and this spring I plan to get a g-sync monitor. So all I will have left is my good old trusty deathadder from razer

The only changes I make to my builds are adding storage, if I want to change other hardware I'll just make a new build... It keeps the freshness of the computer up, and it's fun to build once in a while.  :)

Cheers,

Linus

CPU changed because i killed two 3770K's, I have two 3570K's. AND i've killed three Z77 MPOWER Motherboards. They're shit in all honesty.
