also you know you can choose multiple answers right? that way people can vote both yes and no

also also public vote makes people insecure about themselves and less willing to vote since their name will be shown and they will be publicly humiliated later on for not choosing RGB or choosing RGB

this is like a spam post with no actual content whatsoever

Well it's more complicated than that. I don't mind RGB accents on stuff, but if it's totally overwhelming, and if it doesn't allow you to turn it off and/or doesn't look good off, then I'm not a fan.

It is a matter of taste really, should never be bought at the cost of better hardware though, it is a bad move like buying high end aftermarket cooler for a locked Intel CPU.

5m of RGB strips cost less than $5; for those sorts of prices RGB feels like it makes sense.

Funny how you can choose yes AND no :P

I say Yes Anyway because RGB gives you the ability to change the color and not leave it a static one. I change my colors each 2 to 4 days according to my mood :D

I voted no because I don't like any unnecessary light coming out of my PC. I've also disabled all lighting features on all of my components except keyboard because back light is useful. When I bought my second PC 15 years ago my case had two light tubes on the front which I disabled upon assembling that PC. I think that that tells you how much I don't like any lights on PCs.

Going back to the keyboard. When I was buying a keyboard I was looking for mechanical keyboard and I ended up buying G610. It has white light and lots of lighting effect out of which I use either no lighting at all or dimmed static light. All other effects are pretty much useless and distracting except when you want to show off to friends. I was also considering G810 which is RGB with Omron switches and extra $40-50 is just not justified to get similar feeling switches with RGB.

There is no reason to dislike more customization, which is exactly what RGB allows.  However, I find the super rainbow displays distasteful.

Also, it does add cost to the components.

At home I don't even like LEDs that are on my vision. Right now I can see 3, 2 blue ones and 1 red. Monitors have nice and dim, DAC is bright but also under main monitor so I only see it reflecting. Oh, and basic backlighting for kb since otherwise markings are too invisible for my taste.

At LAN event, sure. Have both kb and mouse doing something CRAZYYYYY.

I'm in the no camp. I just don't see the point.

With that said, I'm a pretty plain person and not really into flashy stuff.

I really don't understand the love for RGB nor do I understand all of the corny jokes that go along with RGB. Maybe having one peripheral lit up wouldn't be too bad, but to have an RGB keyboard, mouse, headset, mousepad, and desk is just way too much.
