12gig 1080ti

THE SHADY BANDIT

Why not put an extra gig on the pcb and see what it does? Or has this been covered? That Apple fixing guy has the equipment to do it that you did the video with. I just watched the king pin 1080ti pcb tear down go to 8:19  and noticed it had ram in every slot soooooo

You can't add VRAM to a GPU.

That's not really a reason, have you tried?

No, the reason I haven't tried is because you can't do it.

Who are you to say you can't?

Because even if you buy 2 GPU'S it will not add VRAM, it simply can't be done.

Did you watch the video? Did you see any blank ram spaces?

Simple VRAM is hard soldered into the PCB, there is no way to upgrade it, and even if there was, you can't buy the VRAM to do it anyways so there's no point

@LinusTechTipsFanFromDarlo I hope that helps you with this fight

Consumers can't buy VRAM modules.

the 1080TI core is locked down so you cannot use 12GB of VRAM on a 1080TI core.  As its a pre production PCB they most likely using the VRAM for Debugging storage OR Based it on a Titan Xp,

it wont be their in production, period. Nvidia would Sue them
