sub forum request for old hardware and software

i know theirs forums dedicated to this, but they don't have many users and with the big community we have, i think some older tech users may have knowledge that can't be found online that they can share with others about older hardware and software

the way i see it, older hardware and software is when the owner/organization is no-longer supporting it or has gone bankrupt and as a result, everything you have to do is trial and error

with these systems dieing and breaking down it's better to ask help from someone who knows what they are doing then figuring out yourself as you may do more damage than intended

i hope you see why i made this and agree with me, i understand if you don't, instead of replying to me, just lock the thread and i will understand

thanks dude!

****SORRY FOR MY ENGLISH IT'S REALLY TERRIBLE*****

Been married to my wife for 3 years now! Yay!

We probably don't need a sub-forum for that.

A quick post in Troubleshooting would get you the same help, so it's not really necessary.

Want to know which mobo to get?

Spoiler

Choose whatever you need. Any more, you're wasting your money. Any less, and you don't get the features you need.

Only you know what you need to do with your computer, so nobody's really qualified to answer this question except for you.

There is no reason why topics on older hardware/software cannot be made in their respective subforums.

The current configuration is sufficient as they still fall under their respective sub-forums as mentioned above, and if they don't, General Discussion is there. Even if you made a post about Intel 8086, it would still fall under CPUs. Same goes with older memory types, and with that in mind, would you create sub-forums labeled "old xxx" where the x's represent the components? But then you'd have to mention the years, and not only that, but it would also get extremely cluttered.

Is there a way to resurrect my old Pentium 4 and Intel D865PERL motherboard, 512 GB RAM and a crappy ATI Radeon graphics card plus a dual boot of Windows XP and Windows 2000?
