$40 looks steep AF tho..

Adaptec is the must have back in the old days. And they are really expensive.

OP,

Needs to specify which type of scsi drive you have. There are a few of them. And you will need a scsi cable if you don't have one.as well as a scsi terminator.

Intel Xeon E5 1650 v3 @ 3.5GHz 6C:12T / CM212 Evo / Asus X99 Deluxe / 16GB (4x4GB) DDR4 3000 Trident-Z / Samsung 850 Pro 256GB / Intel 335 240GB / WD Red 2 & 3TB / Antec 850w / RTX 2070 / Win10 Pro x64

HP Envy X360 15: Intel Core i5 8250U @ 1.6GHz 4C:8T / 8GB DDR4 / Intel UHD620 + Nvidia GeForce MX150 4GB / Intel 120GB SSD / Win10 Pro x64

HP Envy x360 BP series Intel 8th gen

AMD ThreadRipper 2!

5820K & 6800K 3-way SLI mobo support list

You may consider the price to be a little on the steep, or high side but then again, how important is the data that you are trying to recover?

chances are there's a janky way to do it cheaply as well, because it really is only a "one time thing" from what i understand.

Maybe there is, but doing it the right way is better and the janky way will probably cost just as much. Back then most of them SCSI drives were the Seagate Cheetah 15K. Modern SCSI is SAS.

Does it actually need to be from Amazon? There are plenty on ebay from the look of it, and cheaper than 40USD

It's for Ultra-320/160 SCSI. Drive is a Seagate Cheetah 10K.7

Why is that even the best answer?!

It's not even the correct card.
