Razer Blade Stealth is extremely overheating (100C). Should I RMA?

I bought a Razer blade stealth back in June of 2016. I have the model with a i7 6500U, 8gb of RAM, and a 1440p display. I always thought that the thermals were higher than they should be, but I didn't worry about it too much. Recently though the thermals have been worse than usual, and my battery life is terrible. So I undervolted the CPU -.100v, which I believe is stable, and ran both the Intel XTU stress test and Prime 95. In both stress tests the CPU is pinned a 100C after less than 10s of testing and the clock speed drops to 2.6-2.7ghz. (I have already checked and nothing is blocking the vents and the laptop is getting proper airflow)

These temps seem way too high, even for an ultrabook. I'm seriously considering RMA it, what do you think? I wanted to thermal paste swap it, but Razer has some BS that they use some special magic thermal paste that works with their coolers and anything else will not work and void your warranty.

It's not worth voiding your warranty to swap the TIM yourself. If it's still under warranty I would RMA it. Razer tend to be pretty good about this kind of thing.

I would agree that it's definitely RMA worthy. Those temps are insane, and definitely not typical or acceptable.

Well I bought it directly from Razer XD. But I wouldn't say the stealth is designed for long gaming sessions.

Then tell them about it. I guess you're right, though it really shouldnt run at 100 degrees at 2.7 GHz undervolted after 10 seconds.

For Razer it does. They deny all claims if you have so much have opened up the back of the laptop.

Yeah, but I've never seen one this hot, most people I've seen have it around 70-80C, not 100C

That's what I said?

@Max_Settings I would be very surprised if it wasn't still covered. I think what everyone is trying to say is don't open it up yourself; RMA it and let Razer deal with it.

Razer Doesnt use any kind of special thermal paste. It's not even very high quality or anything. I've repaired these things here daily for a year, gelid gc extreme works great.
