Founders Edition zero fan mode?

I know Founders Edition cards don't have zero fan mode out of the box, but is there any way to make custom curve, so fan won't spin untill it reaches 60°C?

Some BIOS perhaps?

 

I'm looking for GTX 1070 Founders Edition.

No. Otherwise other manufacturers can't advertise zero fan technology. Also, founders edition cards run hotter than aftermarket ones already.

Yeah I know FE are running hotter, but when at idle, I think just passive cooling should be fine.

What's the point? It's no quieter unless you stick your head right next to your gpu fan all day. Other wise I am sure you can do it but there really isn't a point.

Blower style cards are completely sealed on the sides, top and bottom, unlike more open designs. Passive cooling on cards with blower style coolers is very insignificant, unless you are talking about low-powered GPUs like the GTX 1050 Ti. Not a 1070 though

Not really because founder edition has the heatsink completely enclosed in a shroud, so unless you have some insane horizontal case airflow like a server it will reach 60-70C even at idle.

you're not gonna get much passive cooling from a blower cooler, as opposed to something open, which benefits directly from case airflow.

Why would you want a Founders? What exactly do you think it will do better, compared to a cheaper Custom model?

 

Check out the MSI Armor OC. Should be one of the cheapest, AND MSI gives 50€ Cashback in several countries.

Doesn't help if he already has the card. Fe look better and can perform all the same.

Exactly. I bought my used 1080Ti FE because it was the cheapest option and I wanted to change the cooler to Arctic Accelero III and I did. Now I too want a zero fan RPM mode and I know there is a way to do it, cause I have read about a BIOS swap (cause you cant really call it updating lol) somewhere on this forum, but I cant seem to find that post... so Im reviving this one, since it has no solution.
