Yes as far is being functional is concerend, but the mismatched ram will limit your memory speeds, and a SSD can't be over recommended if you can save up for one.

My rig: 2600k(4.2 GHz) w/ Cooler Master hyper 212+, Gigabyte Z68-UD3H-B3, Powercolor 7870 xt(1100/1500) w/AIO mod,

LOL two different types of RAM.  All your RAM needs to be the same for best results.

alright guys, lets not bash about the whole ram thing. one person has done it, and even then it shouldn't have been a bash, more just telling the OP to reconsider.

EVGA PSUs are low quality

sorry but the quote feature does not work on surface,and my ipad have a corruption which caused a portion of a frozen image to cover up most of the ipad.
