Could I sell this pc https://pcpartpicker.com/list/xT4DNN and buy a Cheaper pc and an htc vive to run it on? I doubt it but maybe there are some options out there.

if i were you id part out the 1070 and sell that alone for $350. the rest of the stuff in there could be sold for another $350

I would just sell the CPU, mobo, and RAM and then get a 1600 instead.

Make sure to quote me or tag me when responding to me, or I might not know you replied! Examples:

Do this:

And make sure you do it by hitting the quote button at the bottom left of my post, and not the one inside the editor!

Or this:

@DocSwag

Buy whatever product is best for you, not what product is "best" for the market.

Interested in computer architecture? Still in middle or high school? P.M. me!

I love computer hardware and feel free to ask me anything about that (or phones). I especially like SSDs. But please do not ask me anything about Networking, programming, command line stuff, or any relatively hard software stuff. I know next to nothing about that.

Vive is

~700

leaving you with $300 for a pc when a GPU that  can run VR starts at (if your lucky) $150 for an rx 480.

Get the vive on the cheap and  you stand a "chance"
