Pimp My Prius

jcarter1105

i recently bought a Prius (please don't judge me) and I am looking to upgrade some of the stuff inside. I have done some stuff already. I turned the compartment under the trunk into a lock box that is unnoticeable. It is airtight so that what ever I am transporting doesn't smell. And it requires a key to open. I used the extra port on the back of my radio to allow me to connect and play audio over bluetooth, but have officially run out of ideas. I would love a computer based new project that in some way involves the Prius. What do you guys think?

You could be right.

People using the Night Theme can't read your post since the text color is very similar as the background color.

For a super "lit" (yes, that's a pun) setup, sync the RGBs to your sound system. :-)

But on a more serious note:

  • EL Wire with LED underglow (here's where the computer can come in)
  • Some simple audio upgrades including a small (or extremely large) subwoofer can make a huge difference.
  • Rims
  • Katzkin

drop a tablet into the console

So I actually have a plan in place and am working on the details. But basically I would take one of the extra computer that I have and plug it into the diagnostic port on the car. And then mount the monitor in the console. that way I had a live view of the informtion of the car. If you have any ideas on how to make that work. I would love to hear it.

I actually have already put in a subwoofer. I consider myself an audiophile, and the speakers it came with were not adequate.

So I love the idea of using the RGB LEDs and syncing it with the audio. Could you be more specific in how i could do that, and or send me a link of a guide?
