TTech Build Log #1 - Thematic

Hello guys!

This is my very first custom PC build. I've always been a laptop user ever since upgrading from my windows 98 PC back in 2003.
I've themed this build to be red and black. Sniped a few parts off Amazon when it was discounted so I would say it's pretty value for the amount i've spent on it. Thanks for viewing my thread! :)

looks good but why the 7990 or did you just get it dirt cheap

Not exactly dirt cheap, it was on discount at $619.99.

Decided to get it on top of the GTX780 as it also suits my theme perfectly.

(There's no windowed side panel for this case over here. Sadly they don't sell it. Have plans to mod an acrylic panel once I cut out the metal portion!)

What temps do you get with that OC with dat cooler :o ???!

Around 40 degrees at idle (Without A/C), never more than 80 under load.

I usually run the A/C switched on though

I bought mine from newegg actually, they still sell other colours though. I was at avexir's website and I noticed that they have launched their "custom ram" page. Take a look - http://www.avexir.com/customize/customize.html

How you like the zalman cooler? Quiet? Temps?

It's not exactly "silent". But it's doing a rather decent job. Never above 80 degrees on load. Idle around 40.

From what i've seen it's not a really widely used brand. But their design is awesome!

Thanks man :)
