Should I buy secondhand RAM?

I'm a student and I've saved up enough money to bump up my laptop's RAM to 8 GB. For brand new, here's the link:

http://www.lazada.com.ph/kingston-value-ram-4gb-1600mhz-pc3-12800-ddr3l-135v-non-ecc-cl11sodimm-1rx8-laptop-memory-ram-4391005.html

Plus a voucher that would slash Php 100 off, buying this stick of RAM would eat up all of my allowance savings (I'm poor, I know). Shipping is free, though.

Here's the link for a secondhand product:

https://www.olx.ph/item/samsung-4gb-ddr3l-1600mhz-1-35v-low-voltage-laptop-ram-ID7U9Am.html?h=bc23a75a15

Plus a ~Php 150-shipping fee, I would spend about PHP 1,000 for this, making me save about PHP 600.

Is it worth the extra money to buy brand new? Or should I save the money and buy used?

Also, is it okay if the model of RAM isn't the same as the one currently installed? I currently have an SK hynix one. I've read on PC build forums that RAM should be the exact same model, as much as possible.

Shouldn't be a problem. I've always mixed RAM and never had an issue. Might be a problem if you want to overclock.

I've honestly only bought used ram or received ram from a friend...I've never had a problem with it but just make sure you buy it from a certified distributor that does testing or want to chance Craigslist or something like that which i have also done and havent gotten  any bad parts * Knock on wood*
