Posted April 3, 2017 So I've been messing around with setting in games on my new 1060 and its becoming apparent that 4K is a struggle for the card. Even Overwatch cant seem to sustain 60FPS at 4K with Medium/Low tweaks. Also while on the topic should I set adaptive Vsync to default on my NVcontrol panel for games that drop below 60FPS from time to time so I don't get stuttering? Posted April 3, 2017 Maybe on light games like overwatch you could go to 1440p (2K) for better quality but also better framerates. Posted April 3, 2017 I'm surprised Overwatch isn't running fine. When the game first came out and I was limited to a single 980 simply playing high settings was sufficient to get 60 FPS during gameplay. If I recall correctly though the main menu or other character close ups (highlight intros etc) ran a bit slower at around 30-40 FPS. Actual gameplay was smooth though. Also don't listen to what people are saying, Even mid range GPU's can do 4K with settings reductions in a lot of games. Not every game, mind you, but a lot of them. Especially in older games. That said if performance isn't tolerable for you then 1080p is definitely the better choice. In games that support resolution scaling you could crank that up 50%-70% though, or use DSR. That would give you an approximation of 1440p pixel density without the display scaling issues from your tv. 4K // R5 3600 // RTX2080Ti
 I was actually considering setting render resolution in overwatch to about 75% when the resolution is at 4K but still it seems to suffer a bit. I may just do that and set adaptive Vsync so it will just tear when it drops below 60fps Dell G15 Ryzen Edition --------------- CPU: Ryzen 5 5600H GPU: RTX 3050 RAM: 32GB DDR4 Storage: 512GB + 4TB SSD MSI Modern 14 ---------------- CPU: i7-10510U GPU: Nvidia MX 330 RAM: 16GB DDR4 Storage: 1TB SSD
 If it can do 4K, it can downscale most likely.
Posted April 4, 2017 Stay at 1060, its not worth the framerate drops if you are going to go for 4k.
