Greetings,

 

What would you advise for my 2017 build?

I'm looking for at least 3-4 years of secure CPU performance for workstation and gaming PC on ultrawide monitor with GTX1080. 

Right now some of my NEW PC parts arrived :

 

Phanteks Evolv ATX Tempered Glass

Samsung 850 EVO 1TB 

Samsung 960 EVO 250GB

G.Skill TridentZ 2x8GB 3200MHz CL14

For the CPU, I would recommend the 5820K.

For a certain overclocking the x might prove worth in the long run... either should work though, extremely solid processor for workstations regardless, with decent enough gaming capacity and a better pricing  than Intel's current offerings.

My budget for CPU is 350€. As for gaming, well I love to game on PC and I will most probably use ultrawide 100Hz with this GPU and I'm starting to think that at this resolution(3400x1440) those fps differences are drastically smaller but for any multitasking/productivity R7 1700 or even R5 1600X would be a better choice?
