For the bleeping life of me I can't figure out how to upload 2k to youtube...

Hi all, 

 

I am trying to upload my video game replays to YouTube and monetize. I have a 2560x1440p resolution 60hz monitor. I capture game replays using NVidia Shadow Play, which outputs the raw file at 2560x1440. The raw video file is ~7gb. Please see the raw file's properties below:

Next, I open the video file in Shortcut and add screen grabs of my game scores. I then export the video as MP4. The file size becomes ~26gb. Please see file properties below:

So far, so good. However, when I upload the file to Youtube, its only viewable at 720p! The video can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WdLLv_f-19w&feature=youtu.be

 

What on earth gives?

1080p 60fps here

I think it just takes a while to process

Does you mum know you're here?

its 1080p you need to wait for youtube to process it.

Chrome for me only goes up to 720p, Edge allows 1080p60.

Thank you all for your input. It SHOULD be 2560x1440p universally, but we'll see.

Btw, 2560x1440 is 2,5k, not 2k.

2k is resolutions around 1920x1080.

I know for the new 8K videos can take over a week for that resolution to show. 1440p can take a day or two sometimes to show up, thats normal.

noh, 1k is 1080p, that's why 4k is four times 1080p. 1440p IS 2k.

the K system is the pixels wide, not height.....

1920x1080 is 1920 wide, therefore 2k

2560x1440 is 2560 wide, therefore 2,5k

3840×2160 is 3840 wide, therefore 4k
