How to store PC componentes

How to store PC components ? I have some CPUs, ram sticks, and mobos. What is the best way to store them ? I dont have the original boxes for them. What is the "diy" way to do it ?

chuck them into a tupperware box, they will be fine. just have one box for each thing. and motherboards stack nicely in a pile.

The owner of "too many" computers, called

The Lord of all Toasters (1920X 1080ti 32GB)

The Toasted Controller (i5 4670, R9 380, 24GB)

The Semi Portable Toastie machine (i7 3612QM (was an i3) intel HD 4000 16GB)'

Bread and Butter Pudding (i7 7700HQ, 1050ti, 16GB)

Pinoutbutter Sandwhich (raspberry pi 3 B)

The Portable Slice of Bread (N270, HAHAHA, 2GB)

Muffinator (C2D E6600, Geforce 8400, 6GB, 8X2TB HDD)

Toastbuster (WIP, should be cool)

loaf and let dough (A printer that doesn't print black ink)

The Cheese Toastie (C2D (of some sort), GTX 760, 3GB, win XP gaming machine)

The Toaster (C2D, intel HD, 4GB, 2X1TB NAS)

Matter of Loaf and death (some old shitty AMD laptop)

windybread (4X E5470, intel HD, 32GB ECC) (use coming soon, maybe)

And more, several more

Throw them all in a box, haha no little individual boxes and if you're feeling really crazy get some anti-static bags.

i have all my CPUs rolled up in antistatic bags and then in a box,  motherboards i have in antistatic bags and then in a pile in my clauset and the same for GPUs. RAM and HDDs i just have in separate piles because they arent that sensitive nor expensive.

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Ideally: in anti static containers.

But in reality it doesn't matter how you store them, pc parts are quite durable, I just have them in piles on my desk.

No clue about motherboards, although I'd probably look for a box of the right dimensions or ask a PC repair shop if they still have some random box from a motherboard of the right form factor.

As for CPUs and memory sticks etc ...

I wrap them in paper, with some rubber bands to hold it together.  Just don't overdo the tension on CPUs that have pins and you should be fine.

Makes it easy to label them too.

Components are a lot tougher than most people think. Obviously it's better to be careful but I've had a NIC knocking around in a box full of crap for years, I pulled it out the other day. Works a charm.

Just put them in a box, so dust won't get to it.

And don't put that box in a water or something xD
