Intel CPUs price cuts

Taja

http://wccftech.com/intel-amd-price-war-ryzen-processors/

"Over at Microcenter, we can see a large array of Intel processors that have undergone insane price cuts. We are looking at processors from the Kaby Lake, Skylake and even Haswell generations that are going at discounts of up to $300 US. "

Boy, I did not expect that. Look at this price cuts, even people that believed AMD would shake up intel pricing (like me) tought it would take months for that to happen.

If you have a intel mobo and want to upgrade to a better CPU, there are some compelling prices.

Ultra is stupid. ALWAYS.

Its only Microcenter who have dropped prices so far, hardly an "Intel price cut"

Only one place. Here in the UK prices haven't changed at all as far as I can see, but I'd certainly expect some kind of retaliation from intel if the Ryzen CPUs turn out to be as good as they sound.

CPU: i7 4790k, RAM: 16GB DDR3, GPU: GTX 1060 6GB

That is why I used "Intel CPUs price cuts", not "Intel price cut".

But even that is great news, the costumers are already winning so early in the game.

It was mainly aimed at the Wccftech articles title choice of "Intel Begins Price War With AMD Ryzen" :P

Oh yeah, wccf loves clickbait and flashy titles, like every news site. When I clicked i was expecting something like "5 dollars price cuts!" But I was shocked to see real price cuts on relevant processors, like the 7700k, 7600k and 6700k.

Wonder how much the open box cpus are going for.

Also microcenter always has pretty crazy price cuts to move stock or on open boxes.

I personally believe Microcenter is trying to move stock that they dont expect to sell well after Ryzen.

CPU: Amd 7800X3D | GPU: AMD 7900XTX

Competition benefits the consumer.\

I'm curious to hear if this is just the first company to respond to an official Intel price cut or not, but this does show that a one horse race, with only Intel running in it, has been bad for consumers.  AMD being competitive is good for everyone, including Intel fans.

Also... they've sold plenty of Intel CPUs at this price. Just recently have they come up in price but they were selling 6700k's at $240 at one point months ago.

In store only..... can we get an employee to buy the damn thing and ship it to us? I live no where near those stores.

I'd pay a fee..

I mean, this isn't uncommon for Microcenter. I bought my 6700K for $279 at Microcenter in Tustin, CA nearly a year ago. They had 4790k's on sale for $249 a little while back.
