Hey guys,

I am going to be upgrading my pc at August and I don't know if the parts I chose are good.

https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/Zm9Hbj

(I will buy Ryzen processor)

Which AMD graphics card has led's?

(I want a led pc build)

For the NZXT Aer fans do I HAVE to have a Hue+?

Edited by Moeplazz
Link and info edit. (First I said I will get intel core i5 now I changed to Ryzen because I watched the release video and it convinced me.)

by august Ryzen 3 and 5 will have launched which would most likely give you better bang for your buck no matter what teams CPU you go for but yah this isnt too bad, im pretty sure you need the Hue+ though

*edit*

id swap the 1060 for a RX 480 because its slightly better in most games now after driver updates

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

For some reason pcpart picker can't find hue+ probably incompatible with my build.

1. it's hard to give criticism for a build for August, especially with Ryzen around the corner. I will give some criticism on it, but that is without keeping Ryzen in mind. So ask again later in a couple weeks or anywhere closer to August.

2. No you can plug in the fans into your motherboard, just with the NZXT Hue+ you can control the colors via the software. Some motherboards have that kind of software built in too (some higher end Gigabyte and Asus boards for example).

3. Keep in mind Z170 is not made for Kaby Lake, so the motherboard might not have the correct BIOS yet.

4. You're missing some stuff like a PSU and storage

5. the RX 480 does better in most games, plus for the same price you can have 8GB of VRAM. Consider it, after looking at benchmarks of the games you will be playing.

Ryzen CPU? .

Latest AMD offering. pretty badass CPUs for not a lot of money. like, 1/2 the cost of a 6900k and a bit more performance.

If I get that CPU then my motherboad will have to be amd right? Honestly  I think intel is a more popular brand because youtubers always use i5 or i7 for their builds.

than you might as well keep the case you have too now, unless you really want that side panel.

well what do you have now? everyone uses intels today because they are the best chips.

or i should say were. if i can get the performance of a 6900k for 1/2 the cost, you damn skippy i'm gonna use an AMD Ryzen chip. but my needs may not be your needs. we will really have to see what the Ryzen 5 & 3 series chips have to offer. so far, we know the 7 sereies chips are akin to Intel's 6800 & 6900 2011v3 offerings with the goodest of them clocking a bit better performance in multitasking (simultanious streaming, encoding, and playing) than a 7700k, for less.
