It's hard to quantity it's value. Features wise? No, it's not worth it. The idea is for you to support the lmg team, think of it as a recurring donation with some benefits.

the download process is a bit janky, id rather the ability to download it normally and move on but it seems i have to keep the tab open

I purchased it just to support LMG, so I do think its worth it. But for what it is; early access to videos, well the worth is different per user imo-- so this really isn't a good answer.

I wouldn't get it for the content aspect, as I frankly haven't been overly interested in the content they've been putting out lately, but I'd pay the $30 to support them. Plus you get that badge, and who doesn't like to badge whore?
