my ip changed when restarted router thanks guys :D

You didn't need to do that they are just going crazy when really nothing was wrong like I said websites just keep track of IPS for security purposes and only you and the owner of thewebsite you are on can see your IP so your fine and you don't need to go crazy restarting your router and your PC

Theoretically yes. You can get a new IP by disconnecting your PC from your network. When you reconnect it should assign a new IP.

That wont change the WAN IP.

1- Disconnecting your PC from the network doesn't change the IP of the network itself.

2- That's only if he has a dynamic IP from his ISP, which is unlikely these days, unless he pay extra for that service.(which many ISPs charge you for, at least they do here)

He's more likely to have a Static IP, which doesn't change even when disconnecting the modem.

while it generally is a very bad idea to post your ip it doesn't make you hackable. it just puts a name to an address. your ip is the address of your home on the internet. the only real way they can hack you is if you're port forwarding anything or if your computer is directly connected to the modem.

there was 8 views on it do you think someone of those 8 will hack my pc?

You expect some random minecrafter to even know anything about hacking past pre-made scripts? It's more likely that nothing will happen. Don't worry about it. They aren't there to find hacking target, but to find servers to play in.

I've never had a static IP, Usually you'd pay extra for that. ISP's don't like people hosting things form consumer connections.

Well it's Static all the way here. I've had the same IP for the past 2 years now. Most people I know also have static IPs. Especially now that IPv4 addresses ran out, they shouldn't be able to just let you change your IP every 5 minutes, unless they recycle them, but even there, that's just limiting their growth.

so I cant be hacked?

Try and edit the post, then restart your router/modem, most ISPs give you a dynamic IP that switches when the router/modem is restarted.

the title says it I posted my ip on minecraft forums

instead of posting another one

can I be hacked?

You'll be fine the chances of you being hacked are like one in a million because no one will want to hack a small little home PC and your PC and home network have somthing called a firewall that will flat out block anyone from the outside from trying to get into your network so your perfectly safe and some forums have the IP tracking thing and they show the IP to you but no one else but the people who run the site can see it so only the people who own the site will see it and they use it as just security to keep track of who visited the site and they keep it in a log file with a billion other IP addresses from every other user who visited the site and there are so many address in that log file that if anyone tried to hack every single address in that log file it would be like trying to hack every computer in New York city. So don't be concerned the site only tracks IP addresses for security reasons and doesn't display them publicly and can only be seen by the owner of the website. Also your own router and computer have a firewall and they are usually set to block anyone from the outside from trying to gain access to the network and it's nearly impossible to get past a firewall that denys you access to a network or machine.
