WINDOWS 7 Vs. WINDOWS 10

Hey guys, so I guess you saw the title, What is better windows 7 or 10, especially for gaming, I know I know windows 7 doesn't have DX12, But windows 10 have a lot of junk and bullshit I dont use or I will ever use, they even install candy crush on your system without your permission, I noticed 10-25 fps difference in games when i installed windows 7, but I miss some things in w10. IDK Lemme know what you think.

Upgraded from 7 to 10, actually enjoy it quite a bit.

 

Haven't noticed any performance problems or anything.

Windows 10 is a superior OS. I've found my wifi drivers work far better (I went from 19MB/s to 50MB/s, and no it has nothing to do with my ISP). I also haven't noticed any decrease in gaming performance. There is something strange going on if you lose performance in W10 (unless maybe you're talking about an ancient game).

The performance issues with Windows 10 is easily fixed with a factory reset; fixed it on two of my laptops and a desktop.

windows 7 is 8 years old, resource hungry, and an example of the great advances made since windows XP.

oh, and if anyone is gonna argue desktop gadgets, rainmeter is superior in pretty much every way.

windows 10 is the first OS by microsoft that made me honestly surprised seeing it had the same level of driver support linux has out the box. no fussing with ethernet drivers, no mess about the audio not working, it just *works*

i think a lot of companies would be very, very upset with microsoft if MS 10 pro forced them to have candy crush on all company machines

Windows 10 has some advertisement spots. It is a bit of a bidding because there is only a certain amount of apps that can be advertised, and every regions is different.

Also it depends when you install it, and if you have internet when Windows 10 is installed, you need to install the drivers later to get internet.

 

The apps are actually not installed, unless you click on them. The moment you click on them, they download, install and run. So you can just right-click and pick "unpin". If you do accidentally click on them, or genuinely want to check these included app, and want them hone, no problem. Just right-click on them, and pick "uninstall". These are all all UWP (Universal Apps) app. The cool things about this platform, is that the apps are fully sandboxed, and when you uninstall them, every single trace of the game/app is gone with it. It will be like the app never existed.

Did you installed the drivers in Win 10? Or used the drivers Windows Update downloads? I've seen some videos and there's no difference between Win 7, 8 or 10 for game performance

No.....that's not the problem. Under no circumstance should W10 perform worse than W7.
